- Take a picture with Photo Booth (no effects, mouth closed, close-up of face only). Browse, upload, and prepare the pic on MorphThing.com
- Write a paragraph answering these questions about a person (animal, cartoon, book/movie character) who inspires you and a character trait (this means their personality, not their physical skills or looks) that you admire in this person. Save this paragraph in Documents.
- Find a picture of the person your wrote about and save it to your desktop. Browse, upload, and prepare the pic on MorphThing.com. Then morph this pic with the pic of yourself (look under "Prepared Images" on MorphThing).
- Open Pixlr.com and select Create a New Image.
- Use the Paint Bucket tool and click the black box at the bottom of the tool bar to select a color for the frame around your cover. (I prefer to use the Web tab in the pop-up window)
- Choose Layer and select Open Image as Layer. Either add the morph of you with the person you wrote about in your Blog, or create your own morph by cutting and pasting pieces of you and this person together. You can crop, resize, or add effects to the image.
- Here are two sites you can use to search for quotes about the Character Trait that you wrote about in your Blog: http://www.quoteland.com/topic.asp or http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/topics.html
- Click the button with the A in the Pixlr tool bar. Change the font style, size and color. Try adding the name again in a lighter color to create a shadow.
- Paste the link where you found the quote to give credit to it's creator. You can make this source very small.
- Write a reflection paragraph describing how and why you made your picture the way that you did. Here are the questions you need to answer: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sRLfHPBdTY6ueI_WwNUeiSGhY2R2Y7N4qPica_npzFQ
